Program costs
The costs of the programs are per person, based on double-occupancy. Surcharges should be added for single rooms.
Deposits
A deposit of $800 must accompany each registration; this deposit will be applied to the price of the trip. The installment schedule for additional payments is specified on the registration form.
Refunds
If a reservation must be canceled, the request must be made in writing and the amount of the refund will be determined by the date of cancellation according to the schedule specified on the registration form. Because this schedule reflects our need to make various deposits to reserve accommodations, transportation arrangements, etc., we are unable to make exceptions to the cancellation policy for any reason, including personal emergencies. Cancellations for medical or other reasons are often covered by traveler’s insurance which may be obtained through our travel agent, Carolina Travel.
If a program is full and a participant who must cancel finds an appropriate substitute to fill his/her place, the only charge will be a $200 processing fee.
Jensen Tours reserves the right to cancel the program prior to departure, in which case all deposits and monies paid by tour participants will be fully refunded.
Insurance
Insurance is a personal matter, but we encourage each participant to consider the purchase of trip cancellation, baggage and all other forms of travel insurance to provide the level of protection deemed necessary. Jensen Tours cannot assume any responsibility for a participant’s failure to be adequately insured.
Baggage
For travel from/to the United States (on a regularly scheduled flight) the following allowance applies: two checked pieces, the total dimensions of which do not exceed 107 inches provided neither piece exceeds 62 inches. One or more unchecked piece(s) of carry-on luggage, the total dimensions of which do not exceed 45 inches. Consult the airline concerning their liability for damage or loss. During the tour, baggage is entirely at the owner’s risk.
Health
Travelers should be in good physical condition and be prepared to enjoy considerable walking, often over uneven cobblestones. Many great palaces and public buildings were built in the age of the grand staircase, many cities have restricted their most historic districts to pedestrians only, and the most spectacular views are usually seen from the tops of hills and towers that must be climbed. We ask you to appraise your own capabilities honestly. If any particular excursion is too strenuous, please take the responsibility of choosing rest or another activity for that time. Tour participants who require any special assistance must be accompanied by a helper who is capable of and totally responsible for providing such assistance.
Responsibility

Unforeseen conditions may necessitate tour changes, and we reserve the right to make such alterations to the itineraries, accommodations and planned activities as may be deemed necessary. We also reserve the right to cancel the program prior to departure, in which case all deposits and monies paid to us by tour participants will be refunded without further obligation on our part. The tour director reserves the right to refuse to retain any member of a tour in which case no refund is made. No refund will be made for the unused portion of a tour unless arrangements are made in sufficient time to avoid penalties.
The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes. The passengers’s contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchasers of a tour and/or passengers. Any carrier may be flown.
Acceptance of the services of Jensen Tours, Ltd. constitutes acceptance of the above noted terms and conditions. The aforementioned conditions apply equally to organizations or institutions co-sponsoring our tours who also assume no responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage to participants or to their property in connection with any aspect of the tour.
